By the end of the last book, Bri, The Present, informed Psyche, The Analyst and psychological part of her personality, about her need to participate in a coming-of-age ceremony. She did not know how much she would have to travel to find herself.
In Book Three, Bri, now Anna, arrives in The Interim, The Land of the Allegory, where she is transported, by way of The Psychopomp, a caterpillar train, guided by her very own spiritual conductor, her soul, me--Azalea. While Bri, now her transformed self—Anna, sleeps, I take her through thirteen stations of her journey of self-discovery. We pass through the unconscious, reassessing Anna’s former self—Bri, as she, Bri, passed through many of her years in a state of oblivion. Anna gains strength for her future from studying Bri’s past. The magic and beauty of reflective quotations provide the pathway, the tools, and the strength needed to complete Bri’s coming-of-age ceremony. At the end of Anna’s slumber, she awakens from her unconscious journey to meet her new self for the first time. She then picks up where I leave her to travel alone, in search of herself. Now her own guide, Anna takes herself through a journey of self-discovery like no other, including a variety of activities that promote a deep self-awareness. She takes the reader through psychological exercises and viewings of a few television episodes and movies, all in the name of finding, not only her authentic self, but the authentic self of each reader. Along her journey, Anna learns that travel is a powerful key needed to unlock herself. Come and join her on this exceptional journey through China, Paris, Egypt, Las Vegas, and South America.
